I don't see fear and love being a "duality". We rarely fear AND love concurrently. After all Matt Johnson (The The) once sang "why can't love ever grip my heart like fear does?" and he's never wrong

Wow never thought I'd see Matt Johnson lyrics quoted about psychology. But yes it's true that fear is a greater motivator than love (at least in my opinion).

True that the greatest achievements often require you to be scared first. Fear should not hold us back.
